RESEARCH ANALYST

JOB SUMMARY

The Research Analyst will play a key role in driving ACE’s research and evidence-generation agenda. The role involves designing and implementing primary and secondary research, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, and producing high-quality technical and communication outputs. The Analyst will collaborate closely with other departments to provide analytical support, contribute to business development efforts, and advance ACE’s thought leadership through writing, speaking engagements, and dissemination activities. 

This is suited for a highly analytical and self-driven individual who thrives in a dynamic, evidence-based environment. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the design and implementation of original and secondary research studies, including literature reviews, desk analyses, and field studies. 
  • Develop research tools (questionnaires, interview guides, extraction templates) and support protocol development and ethical submissions. 
  • Manage and analyze datasets using appropriate statistical and qualitative software. 
  • Draft technical reports, manuscripts, abstracts, and policy briefs. 
  • Maintain organized databases, documentation, and version control for research materials. 
  • Provide analytical, writing, and data visualization support to other departments (Programs, Digital Health, Strategy, Communications). 
  • Contribute to ACE’s thought leadership efforts by writing, editing, and publishing blogs, briefs, and op-eds, while also supporting the planning and delivery of webinars and other dissemination events. 
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for external visibility, including academic and professional conferences, through abstract submissions, presentations, and representation of ACE at relevant conferences and partner forums. 
  • Support business development efforts by contributing to technical sections of proposals, concept notes, and expressions of interest.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Data Science, or a related field.  
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in research, monitoring and evaluation, or data analysis; strong internship or academic research experience will be considered.
