Role Overview
The Finance Graduate Trainee will support the Finance team in day-to-day accounting operations, including record-keeping, documentation, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role provides practical exposure to core finance processes, internal controls, and compliance requirements within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in voucher expense documentation
- Support preparation and maintenance of financial records and schedules
- Assist with reconciliations and ledger reviews
- Maintain proper filing of financial documents
- Support statutory deductions where required
- Assist in expense tracking and variance analysis
- Provide support during audits by collating required documentation
- Assist in updating reports and internal trackers
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
Experience
- 0–1 year of experience in finance or accounting (NYSC, internship, or trainee experience is an advantage)
Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data entry, and basic reporting)
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Good organizational and documentation skill
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a structured finance environment
